VEGETABLE BOUQUETS... REALLY

A bit of an emerging trend at the moment. Sounds odd, but it's definitely a grower. Perfect for an eco, rustic style wedding.

collar of gyp

I personally think gyp is SO underrated- I know people still associate it with the 80's, but I genuinely think it looks beautiful and wispy. I love this collar underneath the bouquet- it gives it a secret edge to it, and hides unsightly stems. It's almost like having a collar of lace.

amaranthus

A wonderful example of how to use amaranthus- it looks beautiful and a little grungy almost in this bouquet. Maybe that's just the photography- but whatever, I really like it!

saw this cake and want it

pretty simple really- I just think this cake looks amazing with the very simple carnations around it

Astilbe

My new favourite flower! Available in a wide range of colours including lilac, pink, white and red. Generally available from June to November. It not only adds a lovely, soft accent to a design, but it's unusual too.

The Royal Wedding- lily of the valley bouquet

Catherine's bouquet made mainly from lily of the valley was the perfect understated choice. Much has been made about the similarities between her dress and that of Grace Kelly's, but their choice of bouquet was also the same...

RANUNCULUS

This is probably my favourite flower at the moment. It's available roughly from September to April, so just before the main wedding season which is a shame- but it's in my eyes the perfect spring flower. It comes in a whole assortment of colours- look out for the very interesting all-green, cabbage-like one!

BLOSSOM

Blossom is such a natural and pretty thing, I can't understand why it's constantly overlooked for weddings. It adds the perfect touch to a bouquet- or provides a fantastical and whimsical table centrepiece.

TEAL AND MUSTARD

There is a very strong trend for this colour combination at the moment, especially using the golden coloured Craspedia (see the post below for more on this amazing flower!)

LIME AND PINK

This lime and pink colour combination lends a very refreshing look to a wedding- and is especially suitable for a spring or summer event.

BLACKBERRY & STRAWBERRY BOUQUETS!

These are a recent obsession of mine- and I think they translate the rustic, country look perfectly!

MINIATURE FRUIT TREES

I just had to post some pictures of miniature fruit trees on here- I absolutely love them indoors (especially orange trees.) They definitely add an exotic touch to any interior, and can easily be transported to a wedding venue to add an unusual and colourful element.
